Explanatory Notes
The present Tariff shall apply to the maritime activities of Lattakia Container Terminal as well as any land-based activities on the Container Terminal of Lattakia.
LICT Tariff terms & conditions shall take precedence in relation to any standard terms and conditions. Any terms and conditions deviating from the present tariff terms and conditions shall be put forward only in so far as they have been expressly agreed with Lattakia International Container Terminal.


  1. This tariff defines the fees and charges applicable in the Latakia Container Terminal.
  2. The currency of this tariff is Euro.
  3. All charges related to containers and cargoes meant for local consumption or the exports of Syrian Origin are collected in Syrian Pounds.
  4. All charges of containers and cargoes related meant for Free Zones, Neighbouring Countries, temporary entry or re-export and the services provided to the shipping lines or their agents are collected in Euro.
  5. The exchange rate will be set at the beginning each month.  The average of the exchange rate of the previous month according to the Central Bank of Syrian announcement will be used.
  6. In the case of loading or discharging containers belonging to various shipping lines from a single vessel, Vessel’s agent will be charged for the total containers loaded or discharged.
  7. Charges for LCL containers will be collected according to the ratio of B/L weight to the total weight of the container.
  8. Full container and cargo charges will be collected before leaving the terminal.  Empty container charges and the services provided to the shipping lines or their agents will be collected within 15 days of invoice date.  In case of delay in settlement of the charges, the applicable interest fees will be charged.
  9. The charges in this tariff shall apply in full regardless of whether the service was provided fully or partially, for a day or part of, for a ton or part of.
  10.  Vessel Delay charges :
  • The agent shall notify the terminal of vessel’s ETA twelve (12) hours ahead.  This time will be considered as a trigger for calculating delays upon occurrence.
  • If the vessel meets the set ETA, no delay charges will be applied.  The vessel is exempted of maximum two hours delay.
  • If the ETA is modified or cancelled within the twelve hours deadline mentioned above,  the agent is charged 2 hours delay.
  • In case the vessel is late for more than two hours, delay charges incur per hour up to a maximum of 10 hours delay.
  • If a vessel call is cancelled after the advised ETA, the agent is charged for the time between the advised ETA and the cancelation time, applying a minimum of 2 hours , and a maximum of 10 hours.
  • Delay charges applicable are US$ 200 per hour or part of.
