New Straddle Carrier KALMAR Brand Arrived to LICT With Total Value Reached to 750000 Euro

newrsWithin the LICT’s plan to develop the operations and to import new equipment, the new Straddle Carrier has arrived to LICT due to the contract’s elements signed with Lattakia Port General Company in order to develop the productivity of handling containers. The Straddle Carries has been arrived on Friday 05/02/2016 on the vessel SIRIUS that belongs to CMA-CGM, as the SC from KALMAR brand (CSC440) with total load (40 Tons) and made by the Finnish Company CARGOTEC and featured with the latest international standers.

LICT’s CEO Mr. Naman Sari has informed that this SC comes within the third batch of the nine Straddle Carries which have been agreed to supply due to the signed contract with Lattakia Port General Company. As these Straddle Carries will go to LPGC after the expiration of the operating agreement held between two parties.

newrsConsequently, Mr. SARI has indicated that LICT will import two new additions Straddle Carries during the first half of 2016, and this step comes to implement the minutes of the signed settlement between LPGC & LICT and consistent with LICT’s plan to accelerate the operation pace and to increase the productivity at the terminal as well.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that the clear share revenues of Lattakia Port General Company from LICT during 2015 reached about (5.7 Milliard SYP) according to the signed contract with LPGC, as the percentage of foreign currency out of this revenue reached around 25%.
