In cooperation with LPGC’s management, the faculty of the civil engineering at Tishreen University and LICT and during Tishreen University’s summer production camp activities, LICT received a university student delegation from the fourth year of the faculty of the civil engineering - Tishreen University headed by Dr, Aammal Haidar in a scientific tour, where the visit aims to clarify the maritime work especially handling containers.
The students experience the terminal works in their visit to the yards, berths, gats and the depot in the terminal where they follow up the different equipment’s movements including charging, discharging, loading, unloading, stacking and transferring all kinds of containers.
The students were also given an overview about the construction and rehabilitation work of the yards of port of Lattakia, which is being executed by LICT and funded by the global company CMA-CGM, the global company Terminal-Link and the national Souria-Holding group.
As LICT wants to provide students by the practical experience in the maritime transport a supervisors from the PR Dep, in the terminal accompanied the students in their tour who explain the vessel’s berth, unloading and the movements of equipments in per operation at yards and berths.
